What's involved in the commissioning process?
Discuss your requirments?
We start by discussing your requirments for the commission, this can be done by phone, e-mail or a visit to the studio, we will go through details including colours, designs, size and time scale. We can go through images, swatches and colour samples you might have. If you are based locally we are happy to offer a home visit for larger pieces eg. splashbacks/showerscreens/installations to check dimensions and discuss requirements.
Ready to order?
Once you are happy with everything we have discussed and all relevant information has been confirmed we can place the order. At this stage we would quote you an accurate time scale for completion of the commission and discuss if any samples are required to confirm details. At this stage we would require a deposit to confirm the order.
Design process begins?
At this stage your piece would be designed using all the information discussed and the layout decided, any relevant samples that are needed eg. colour matching would be supplied and final details confirmed.
Bespoke piece is made
Stephanie will work on the commission this may involve several firings over a period of time. Any additional work to be done including cut outs for sockets, specialist fixings or laminating will be done at this stage.
